Child Visitation:
Child visitation is the right given to the non custodian parent to visit the child. Child visitation usually occurs when the non custodian parent wishes for child visitation. The court determines the amount of time to be spent with the child, the specific day on which the non custodian parent has to see the child. The time may be for two to three days also which depends on the discretion of the court.
Both the parties can also make a decision by writing an agreement stating clearly as to the child visit is concerned and can present the petition in the court. The court after going through the agreement shall make a decision for such child visitation.
If there is any dispute between the parties, counseling shall be held between the parties presided by an attorney to help you to find a solution. If both the parties cannot find a solution through counseling, the matter will be decided by the court after considering the evidences placed before it.

Denial of the right for child visitation:
If you are a non custodian parent with the right to visit the child and if you are not allowed by the custodian parent to visit the child without a proper reason, the custodian parent is liable to the contempt of the court.
You can bring this issue to the knowledge of the court by filing a petition through your attorney explaining the facts that you are not permitted for child visitation by the other party. If the court is not satisfied with the reason stated by the custodian parent for not allowing you to visit the child, then the custodian parent is liable to the contempt proceedings.
Child visitation without the knowledge of the custodian parent:
If you are a custodian parent, and if the non custodian parent picks up the child in order to see the child or visits the child anywhere without the knowledge of you, you can bring the issue to the court or can file a complaint for the arrests of non custodian parent.
Child visitation for grandparents:
If the grandparents of the non custodian parents wish to see the child then they can request the court to grant permission for visiting such child by filing a formal petition through your attorney. It is left to the discretion of the court to decide on this issue.
