Some general problems relating to Spousal support:

My wife and I obtained a divorce last year and I pay spousal support for my wife. Recently, a few weeks before, I came to know that she got married to another person. Whether the payment for spousal support can be terminated, if so, what steps should I follow to do the same?

If the other spouse marries after divorce, you have to bring to the knowledge of the court by filing a petition and stating the facts that the other spouse is already married. The court shall order that such payments for spousal support shall be terminated.

I am planning for a divorce. Can I claim to give the spousal support as a full settlement at the time of divorce?

You cannot claim for a full settlement as a matter of right. But your attorney can negotiate with the other side to make a full time settlement. Full time settlement depends on the wealth and total income of the paying party.
